Country Roots, Diverse Beats: Celebrating the Rich Tapestry of Soul in Country Music!

Are you ready to become the next Soul Country Music™ Star?

In association with the Bill Pickett Invitational Rodeo, Black Classic Productions is thrilled to announce a nationwide talent search for the next Soul Country Music™ Star, highlighting Black Country Music Artists. 

The Bill Pickett Invitational Rodeo (BPIR), celebrating its 40th Anniversary, has been a longstanding platform for showcasing Black Country Music Artists during rodeo events across the United States. With the rise of the Black Country Music Artists, partnering with them is crucial. The Soul Country Music™ Star competition aims to provide talented Black Country Artists a national platform to break into the country music scene, diversifying the industry, and to discover the next Soul Country Music™ Star.

Along with our panel of esteemed judges, our Soul Country Music™ Star fans and BPIR supporters can VOTE for their favorite contenders online for free.  Go to the soulcountrymusic.com website voting tab to help choose the first Soul Country Music™ ​Star 2024!

Participant Categories:  We invite Black Country Solo Artists, Duets, and Groups, each to bring their unique country music talents to the competition stage.

 

Target Cities: In 2024, our search spans across vibrant cities including Los Angeles, Dallas/Fort Worth, Atlanta and DC/Maryland, providing opportunities for artists from various regions to showcase their skills.

 

Video Submissions: Contestants must submit a YouTube or Vimeo link of their audition for consideration, targeting the finals in their nearest city.

 

Online Selection: Esteemed judges from the music industry, along with local celebrity personalities, will evaluate each performance. Online votes and judges' evaluations will determine the top six (6) contenders in each market, ensuring a fair evaluation. 

 

Live City Competitions: The top six (6) contenders will compete in live (BPIR) events at selected venues in their chosen cities, adding suspense and excitement to the journey.

 

City Winners' Advancement: One winner from each city will progress to the final competition in Los Angeles or Nashville (TBD) in November to become the 2024 Soul Country Music™ Star.
